Tablet practice - _Einon_by ~Sepseriis

I was practising colouring with my tablet and decided to use this picture. It was something I drew at 4am or something, not on proportion or anything, but I quite liked it. _Einon_ my female Technomage Ixi, staring at a ball of energy (at least that is what it is meant to be)

Colouring done in Corel Painter 8 (got a trial version with my tablet) since I can't find my disk to Photoplus.

Painter... ohh, that's a wonderful program. As soon as I've got a new tablet I'll be all over it too

I like Einon's facial expression on this one. Very "lost in thought"

Only thing I notice on all of Einon's pictures is her hair. It's almost the same color as her skin. Of course it's a matter of taste, but it makes her look a bit strange to me. Perhaps you should try making her hair slightly darker or her skin slightly lighter?

I have yet to figure out that program completely, sometimes it does what I don't want it to, but maybe thats me using the pen as a mouse.

Her hair is actually six shades darker than her skin, and I always make the shading on her hair darker to that of her skin so that the difference can be told. I could alter it a little if you would prefer, but I'm not sure about how it would look, might end up looking a little less red is my worry there

I got a cheap tablet ^-^ I'm more used to drawing with a mouse, I'm getting there with the tablet though, its fun ^-^

Yeah, tablets are fun. Definately looks like a Painter piece. That's a hard program to get used to.
